Living a life of significance has more to do with how you influence people’s life. It is about sharing a part of you with the entire world around you. This way you find meaning and connect with the value and purpose that you were created to serve in life.
There many ways that a woman can lead a life of significance. Some of the ways begin with the family we are in, some in the community and even in countries and continents. This kind of significance is what Alabastron envisions for all women to experience. This journey begins with renewing oneself so that the awakened woman can then awaken other women.
So what are some of the ways you will choose to do intentionally within your influence to lead a life of significance?

Champions of Significance

If you learnt about a solution that people in your life would benefit from but the proximity isn’t favorable for them to access this solution, what would you do? Well, guess what? Dr. Carol Chakua was fired up to take Alabastron home. So, she sought for help from her friends and it’s been three years since Alabastron Eldoret kicked off!!!
These kind of women in Alabastron are known as Champions of Significance. These women are using the light on their candles to light their world so that all women in Kenya can experience significance.
If you learnt about a solution that people in your life would benefit from but the proximity isn’t favorable for them to access this solution, what would you do?
On experiencing her awakening through the program, she couldn’t stop talking about it with friends and family. A friend, Lilian Mayande, took her chance and travelled each week in Nairobi to take the program. This friend has been a pillar to her taking the program back home. Alabastron celebrate the Eldoret team’s dedication and passion three years down the line!!
A champion is defined as a person who vigorously supports or defends a person or cause. When you interact with a champion, your experience of them is that they have such passion and belief in the cause they are convicted about. They communicate and push their agenda at every turn, to whoever will listen. Regardless of the forum they are in or what people think of them. There is a selflessness that we experience when we engage with champions, you will find that they are willing to go over and above the call of duty with their time, their ideas and all other resources available to them are given freely in support for their cause. Their passion and focus ignites many around them, even when they don’t understand fully what the cause is, just because of the level of conviction that the champion has.
Liilian Mayende is one woman whom, when everyone meets her, especially those in the Eldoret region, attest to the fact that she has been a Champion for women’s inner Healing, Growth and Journey to Significance by being one of the key women to bring Alabastron to Eldoret! After showing her determination, travelling to Nairobi to take classes and do the program herself. On completion, she started off by thinking like so many others,’ Alabastron should have presence in my home town.’ Then she looked around and said, ‘I can pull women from my circle of influence together in Eldoret who have the desire to do the Alabastron programs’. She started to reach out to other women in the region, having endless coffee sessions, all the while speaking to them about her experience with the program and why it worked for her, how it positively affected her family and work life. Season after season, she has not tired and has inspired more women and other champions to be a part of this cause which is greater than her!
